My father drank heavily for 11 years. He quit in 1972. We had a somewhat contentious relationship. He loved me but didn't think I was tough. I was an easy going person who handled life in an easy going manner compared to the dog-eat-dog attitude he espoused. Shortly before he passed I believe that I earned his respect for me as a person.

I love your outfits as always.

Genneegenevievehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07041499205158357183noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7776343890232020343.post-80026664438608554262011-04-13T04:12:31.795-05:002011-04-13T04:12:31.795-05:00my heart goes out to you in reference to your chil...my heart goes out to you in reference to your childhood. it is really incredible that you have grown up to be the responsible family person that you are. I sometimes worry that I shouldn't share so much personal stuff, but it just seems like doing anything else would be kind of an injustice - like telling only a portion of the story.
Connie - I'm so sorry my friend, but that IS the price I pay for all of my travel being for work. If I were traveling for pleasure, I could schedule things so that they were convenient, and so that I would have time to really get to know people properly. With my travel being all about work, I have to snatch time here and there to meet people and to do the things that I enjoy or want to do.
Still, I love my job, and would much rather live THIS life than have to spend my days in hard labor in the Texas sun, so I can hardly yell and cry about it much!Kimberly Huddlehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11668019327622021786noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7776343890232020343.post-40559640358514330182011-04-09T14:42:32.753-05:002011-04-09T14:42:32.753-05:00Kimberly, such a moving story.
