I've been laid up for a few months recovering after surgery, but mine was elective rather than emergency, but I do know it takes time to recover.

Good to know that that's at least one problem sorted and you are now back with us. I'd love to see the Grand Canyon, Yosemite and the Redwoods, but that means travelling half way round the World and I suspect that it may be too late for me now.Paulahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12577631984995202146noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7776343890232020343.post-78415492577809264782019-02-20T08:04:57.042-06:002019-02-20T08:04:57.042-06:00Kim,

Good job you found a Dr who didn't cancel for an urgent call to the golf course. I had it scheduled months in advance and warned my manager that I would not be able to travel that week. An hour before the appointment, the doctors office called and canceled. All right, he's a doctor, so maybe something urgent came up. I got over my irritation and we scheduled another one, several months out because that was the soonest appointment that he had. Once again, I told my manager I could not travel that week, and once again the doctors office called me only two hours before the appointment to cancel. After that, I stopped trying until my problem became so bad that I couldn't ignore it. THIS time I went to a different doctor/hospital. lol
Kimberly Huddlehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11668019327622021786noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7776343890232020343.post-6555983217043607322019-02-10T08:41:37.305-06:002019-02-10T08:41:37.305-06:00Glad to see that I am not the only one that feels ...Glad to see that I am not the only one that feels there are some things more important than life itself. Now I find that you were just gone for the nine months that it took to see results after getting pregnant. Glad and relieved to see you flying pretty again.

Your adventure lagged mine by a mere five months (though I am now 63 to your 53). My chest pains came on a trip to Pasadena, CA, in January, just before Abby planned to go out and do some shopping. Alone and like an idiot, I drove myself the four miles to the hospital. From there, our stories are identical. Now, a year later, I have the exercises and I am on the daily heart pills like you. My boss and my wife told me to slow down. I haven't. As you say, it is better to push up daisies while my wife gets the life insurance than to lose my job and have us all homeless at our age.

I have bounced back well enough to assure you that your best years flying pretty are still ahead of you, Kim, my friend.
~Abby Abbynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7776343890232020343.post-86779734868850903702019-02-10T01:29:05.355-06:002019-02-10T01:29:05.355-06:00Hi Kim

We loved Bryce Canyon compared to the others just because it was more ‘manageable’ in its awesomeness ...(if that makes sense?)
Age is in your heart and not your birth cert, so keep a young outlook on life.
Live should always be measured not by the number of breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away.
Hugs
Dawn
x Dawn Wyvernhttp://dawn-wyvern.blogspot.co.uknoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7776343890232020343.post-77278462836315365272019-02-09T23:37:13.568-06:002019-02-09T23:37:13.568-06:00Glad to see you back. Could some be done while on the road?

I'm glad you made it to the family reunion. You have your priorities straight regarding family, job, etc. - But doctors have only your physical health to worry about, and not your other needs.

Next time you're within a 2 hour drive of NYC, please let me know. I'm now effectively retired, so I have no trouble putting miles on the car to say hello....

MMarianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18346866501735405647noreply@blogger.com
