It's too bad. I've shown your photo to different guys at different times, without them knowing anything else about you. To a man, they've perked up at the sight of that very pretty "friend" of mine. You've even gotten a "wow."

I'm going to skip the trauma except to say things like that seem to have a positive end result. Maybe it helped the parents mellow out for the rest of the trip.

What I wanted to address.... One hot (near 100 degree) summer day, a tire on my brand new Prius exploded on the highway. No way was I going to ruin my dress changing the tire, so I called Geico and fretted about presenting Meg to a strange guy ~ at that time, I avoided men as much as possible. I was on the way back from a clothing swap (dozens of women there, almost no guys) at the time.

Everything was fine. He didn't even do a take when I opened my mouth (a giveaway).

It's all good.CallMeMeghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14184763491635476887noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7776343890232020343.post-68288465553081605712012-09-10T12:20:33.195-05:002012-09-10T12:20:33.195-05:00In these photos as always what ever you may look i...In these photos as always what ever you may look it is not fat or like a bloke. However I can relate to the sudden loss of confidence, I have had similar feelings, but it passes. I love the first wig, it is just the sort of thing I fancy for myself, I fear that I am past that certain age when I could carry off log "big" hair.Paulahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12577631984995202146noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7776343890232020343.post-84958925041364215602012-09-09T02:28:03.724-05:002012-09-09T02:28:03.724-05:00kim

I only recently found your blog and I think ...Kim,

I only recently found your blog and I think it is FABULOUS! You write well, your interactions with others are interesting and funny, but you also don't forget to get serious (like in this post) and real. I live close to you (Houston), and I go out in girl mode about once a month (usually going shopping, but also to go to the movies, get my nails done, etc.). I also have gone out many times while on business trips all over the world (but never en route). I know how important it is to feel confident. Even though you say you don't feel confident, I know you are far more confident than me, because you enjoy interacting with others, and I always shy away from doing it. Of course, I am the same way in guy mode. Anyway, you really are an inspiration, especially for someone still in the closet.

LisaLisaPhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05481190454787460185noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7776343890232020343.post-65347144317980804992012-09-08T14:19:32.139-05:002012-09-08T14:19:32.139-05:00K -

I'd be absolutely panicked...so glad it worked out OK in the end.

And though I haven't met you (should I say "yet" - there's always hope), pictures are worth a thousand words and you do look absolutely fabulous. I can't see anything which gives someone a chance to read you.

And you definitely are a major inspiration...for me, and for others.

So, thank you for being there...

Your friend...

MandyMandy Shermanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01547323395921637440noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7776343890232020343.post-84565479625882013242012-09-08T10:49:55.958-05:002012-09-08T10:49:55.958-05:00You are NOT:
